The IMC Charleston team provides full service association management services utilizing a staff with diverse skills, talents and expertise. With each team member specializing in the area of their job function, we are able to successfully manage associations while meeting th expectations of our clients.
General Manager Meredith graduated from Clemson University in 2003 with a degree in Financial Management. She began her professional career in banking, however was introduced to property management while living in Atlanta, GA in 2005. Meredith moved to Charleston in 2007, where she continued her career in commercial property management with CB Richard Ellis and then Colliers International. Meredith joined the IMC Charleston team in April, 2016 where she assisted in opening the IMC Charleston office
Accounts Payable and Administration Tawana is a native of Charleston, growing up on Wadmalaw Island. She began her professional career working in the accounting department for an attorney's office specializing in liability claims. Previous to IMC Charleston, Tawana worked for over six years in the accounts payable department and as the office manager for an association management company. Tawana oversees all accounts payable and vendor relationships for IMC Charleston, as well as supports the Association Managers with their day to day operations.
Account Services Specialist Shelley owned and operated her own business working as a medical transcriptionist for nine years. In 2010, Shelley earned a degree in Accounting from Strayer University. She then went to work for an accounting firm where she handled bookkeeping and assisted with tax preparation. Shelley began her career in association management in 2012 where she handled accounts receivable, including assistance with attorney handled accounts. Shelley operates in a similar role for IMC Charleston, overseeing all accounts receivable functions, reporting on delinquencies, and working with attorneys to collect past due balances/process foreclosures, etc. Shelley also processes all closings for the office.
Association Manager Whitney attended College of Charleston, studying Sociology, in 2001. She began her career in real estate, first working for Pate Properties as a Property Manager for residential units. She then moved into commercial real estate in 2008, working for CB Richard Ellis, Southern Real Estate Management and Lee & Associates as an Assistant Property Manager and Property Manager. Whitney began working in association management in 2015, as an Association Manager, overseeing all operations for a portfolio of associations. Whitney has continued as an Association Manager for IMC Charleston where she oversees the management for associations on James Island, Johns Island and Seabrook Island. Whitney earned her CMCA designation in 2016 and plans to work towards her AMS designation in the near future.
Carly earned a degree from the State University of New York in Textile Development & Merchandising in 2005 and International Trade & Marketing in 2007. After school Carly worked to further qualify herself by earning her LEED certification, as well as obtaining her salespersons license. Upon graduating, Carly began her career in real estate renovating and staging homes. She then moved into property management in 2010 where she was directly involved with the oversight of a portfolio of managers and maintenance staff supporting residential rental units. In 2012, Carly began managing vacation rentals and commercial real estate in Portland, Maine. After moving to Charleston in 2014, Carly began managing community associations around the Charleston area. Currently Carly manages a diverse portfolio of associations for IMC Charleston ranging from small to large scale, located from Johns Island to Goose Creek.
